Posted by Ian Goode on 26 May 2010 fraser/rose family farraline Hi,congratulations on the site ,I wonder if you can help me,I've come to a brick wall with my husbands side of the familytree, his great grandfather married Jessie Rose at Bolskine 1887 her Father was David Rose And her Mother Mary Fraser, I've been unable to find a birth for David who was a Master Gardener at Farraline and of Balnoe Farraline,he was born about 1824 as was Mary, on their marriage record her Fathers name is Simon of Tomich no mothers name and he was a mason there are no details for David, would anyone know anything that might help me get ba little further back in my research. Also on Davids tombstone it mentions Balnoe is there any history to this? as I can only find a ruin.I hope you can point me in the right direction, regards Margaret Posted by margaret on 23 November 2009 Records of burials at Kilchuimein Cemetery I read with much interest details provided re. above;many of the names bring back pleasant memories of fine people many known to me as a boy. I note that my aunts Margaret Aitchison and Charlotte Aitchison are not included in your list. Please do no take this as a criticism, it is just an observation. You are doing a sterling job.
